Stuck on homework?

Snap a photo. A tutor walks you through it on a whiteboard, out loud, and you can interrupt any time to ask why.

How it works

  1. 1

    Snap it

Take a photo, upload a screenshot or PDF, paste it in, or type it (there’s a math keyboard for equations).

  2. 2

    Watch it teach

It names the method in one sentence, then talks you through it while it writes on a whiteboard.

  3. 3

    Interrupt and ask

Talk or type whenever you’re lost, or draw on the board and ask about any step.

Solve x√x = 27. The tutor writes the left side as one power, x3/2, raises both sides to the 2/3 to get x = 9, and checks it on a graph.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes, to start. You can try 1 free lesson, with 5 voice minutes and 5 typed messages without an account. Every account gets 3 free lessons, with 15 voice minutes and 30 typed messages, once, counting what you tried first. Founding members (the first 200 accounts, signed up by Oct 31) keep 10 free lessons, with 20 voice minutes and 200 typed messages, for good. The demo is always free. Pro adds unlimited lessons and typed questions, plus 60 minutes of voice a month; see pricing.

Who is it for?

Students 13 and older (16 and older in the EU, EEA and UK unless a parent agrees). Middle school, high school and early university work all fit.

Do you store my voice or my photos?

No. Your voice and your homework photo are processed in real time and then thrown away. We keep the board, the lesson’s text and the problem as text so you can pick up where you left off.

What subjects does it cover?

Math and physics. In math: arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus and more.

What if it gets something wrong?

AI can make mistakes, so check its work like you would a friend’s. If you spot an error, hit “Report a mistake” in the lesson or email us, and we’ll look at it.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. On a laptop or tablet the board is bigger and there’s more room to draw, so use one if it’s handy.
